Pyruvate carboxylase (PC) Assay kit

Pyruvate carboxylase (PC, EC 6.4.1.1) is widely present in the mitochondria of animals, molds, and yeasts, catalyzing pyruvate, ATP, CO2, and aqueous formation of oxaloacetic acid, ADP, and Pi.

PC catalyzes pyruvate, ATP, CO2 and water to produce oxaloacetic acid, ADP and Pi, and malate dehydrogenase further catalyzes oxaloacetic acid and NADH to produce malic acid and NAD+.
