ATP-Citrate Lyase (ACL) Assay Kit

ACL (EC4.1.3.8) is a key enzyme in fatty acid synthesis, and its catalytic production of acetyl-CoA can be used for fatty acid synthesis and carbon chain elongation, flavonoid synthesis, amino acid synthesis, etc.

ACL catalyzes the cleavage of citric acid into acetyl-CoA, oxaloacetic acid, adenosine diphosphate, and phosphate in the presence of ATP and CoA. Malate dehydrogenase further catalyzes the production of malic acid and NAD+ by oxaloacetic acid and NADH, and the reduction rate of NADH is determined at 340 nm to calculate ACL activity.
