Total cholesterol (TC) content detection kit

TC includes free cholesterol and cholesterol esters. TC refers to the sum of cholesterol contained in all lipoproteins in tissues.

Esterase was used to catalyze the hydrolysis of cholesterol esters to form free cholesterol (FC) and free fatty acids (FFA), thereby converting cholesterol esters into FC. Cholesterol oxidase was further used to catalyze FC oxidation to produce △4-cholesterenone and H2O2. Finally, peroxidase was used to catalyze the oxidation of 4-aminoantipyrine and phenol by H2O2 to produce red quinones. There is a characteristic absorption peak at 500nm, and its color shade is directly proportional to the TC content.
