Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT-1) Assay kit
Carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT-1) Assay kit
Carnitine palmitoyltransferase is a class of acyltransferases found in the inner mitochondrial membrane. Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of acyl groups from acyl-CoA to L-carnitine and plays an important role in the transport of fatty acids through the inner mitochondrial membrane. Based on the presence or absence of carnitine and lipoyl-CoA, lipoyl-carnitine is produced through the action of carnitine lipoyltransferase (CPT-I) and mercapto-CoA (COA-SH), which reacts with Ellman's reagent DN-TB to produce yellow TNB. The activity of CPT-1 was quantitatively analyzed by the change of its absorption peak (412 nm).
