Glycogen phosphorylase b (GPb) Assay kit
Glycogen phosphorylase b (GPb) Assay kit
Glycogen phosphorylase (GP, EC 2.4.1.1) is a key enzyme in glycogen catabolism, which causes glycogen molecules to break the α-1,4-glycosidic bonds from the non-reducing end one by one to remove the glucose group, releasing glucose 1-phosphate until it is close to the glycogen molecule α-1. 6-Glycosidic bond branching points at the first 4 glucose groups. GP is divided into two forms: active glycogen phosphorylase a (GPa) and inactive glycogen phosphorylase b (GPb). GPb can be activated in the presence of a certain concentration of adenylate (5,-AMP). GP catalyzes glycogen and inorganic phosphorus to produce glucose residues to produce glycogen and glucose 1-phosphate, and glucose phosphate mutase and glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase further catalyze NADP reduction to NADPH, and the increase rate of NADPH is measured at 340 nm, which can reflect GP activity. The activities of GP (GPa and GPb) were determined when a certain concentration of adenylate (5,-AMP) was added, and the activity of GPa was determined without the addition of adenylate (5,-AMP), and the activity of GPb was obtained by GP activity-GPa activity.
