pTRV2-Gateway is a Gateway recombinant virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) vector based on the RNA2 genome of Tobacco Rattle Virus (TRV). Its core function is to quickly construct recombinant virus vectors targeting gene silencing of specific genes through Gateway recombination technology. Leveraging the systemic infection characteristics of TRV, it specifically silences target genes within plants and is widely used in reverse genetics studies of gene function in dicotyledonous plants such as tobacco, tomato, and pepper. pTRV2-Gateway is an efficient tool vector for plant VIGS research. Its Gateway recombination technology greatly simplifies the construction process of silencing vectors, while the systemic infection properties of TRV ensure whole-plant gene silencing, providing a convenient and efficient reverse genetics approach for plant gene function studies.
