3-phosphoglycerol acid kinase is a key enzyme for glycolysis, which is widely present in animals, plants and microorganisms, catalyzing the transformation of 1,3-diphosphate glyceric acid into 3-phosphate glyceric acid, and producing 1 molecule of ATP, which has biological functions such as affecting DNA replication and repair and stimulating viral RNA synthesis, and is widely used in drug target design.

3-phosphoglycerol acid kinase catalyzes the production of 1,3-phosphoglycerylic acid and ATP to produce 1,3-bisphoglyceric acid and ADP, and 1,3-bisphoglyceric acid is produced by 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde dehydrogenase and NADH, and the absorbance change at 340nm reflects the activity of 3-phosphoglycerolic acid kinase.
