Pyrophosphate: Fructose-6-phosphate-1-phosphate transferase (PFP, EC2.7.1.90) is a cytosolic enzyme widely present in plant tissues, catalyzing the reversible conversion between fructose-6-phosphate and fructose-1,6-bisphosphate, and playing an important role in photosynthetic carbon metabolism.

PFP catalyzes the conversion of fructose 6-phosphate to fructose 1,6-bisphosphate, which is converted to 3-phosphoglyceraldehyde under the action of aldolase and propase phosphoric acid, and then catalyzed by 3-phosphglyceraldehyde dehydrogenase and NADH to produce 3-phosphoglyceric acid, NAD and phosphoric acid.
