PDA medium is an abbreviation for Potato Dextrose Agar, which corresponds to potato, dextrose (glucose), and agar in English. PDA is a general selective solid medium for molds and yeasts. It is used for the detection, isolation, counting, and cultivation of yeasts and molds.
