Thioredoxin peroxidase (TPX) assay kit

TPX belongs to the peroxidase family, which mainly achieves antioxidant effects by reducing hydrogen peroxide and some hydroperoxides in the body, and has a function similar to GPX, and is also one of the key enzymes in the glutathione redox cycle. TPX is ubiquitous in various organisms such as yeast, plants, animals, protozoa, parasites, bacteria, and archaea and is highly evolutionarily conserved. TPX is closely related to the regulation of cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis and tumorigenesis. The primary functions of TPX include cellular detoxification, antioxidant and regulation of signal transduction and immune responses mediated by hydrogen peroxide.

TPX catalyzes H2O2 dithiothreitol (DTT), and the absorption wavelength of H2O2 is 240nm, and the TPX activity can be calculated by measuring the decline rate of absorbance at 240nm.
