pER8 is an estrogen (β-estradiol)-inducible binary vector for plants, whose core function is to strictly control the spatial and temporal expression of target genes in plants through externally applied estrogen analogs (such as β-estradiol), thereby avoiding growth and developmental abnormalities or gene toxicity that may be caused by constitutive expression. It is widely used in gene function studies in plants such as Arabidopsis and tobacco, and is particularly suitable for analyzing the functions of lethal genes and key developmental genes.
