AAO is a glycoprotein located in the plant cell wall, belonging to the "blue copper oxidase" family. Ascorbic acid andO in the cell wall are closely related to the metabolism and growth of the cell wall. MDHA formed by the oxidation of AsA by AAO can be reduced by cychrome b on the plasma membrane, and the transmembrane transport of electrons in this process can promote cell growth. Principle of measurement: AAO can directly oxidize AsA and the amount of AsA oxidized can be calculated to determine the activity of AAO.
