Monodehydroascorbate Reductase (MDHAR) Activity Assay Kit

Monodehydroascorbate Reductase (MDHAR) catalyzes the reduction of monodehydroascorbate (MDHA) to form ascorbic acid (AsA), and plays an important role in the redox metabolism of ascorbic acid. MDHAR catalyzes the reduction of MDHA by nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH) to generate AsA and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD⁺). NADH has a characteristic absorption peak at 340 nm, while NAD⁺ does not. The activity of MDHAR can be calculated by measuring the rate of decrease in light absorption at 340 nm.
