Dehydroascorbate Reductase (DHAR) Activity Assay Kit

DHAR exists in the cytoplasm, mitochondria and chloroplasts. DHAR catalyzes the reduction of DHA by GSH to AsA and GSSG, regulating the ratio of AsA/DHA in cells, and it is a key enzyme in the ascorbate-glutathioneox cycle. Improving DHAR activity in plants can increase the content of AsA in plant food, thereby improving the nutritional quality of plant food. Determination principle: DHARzes the reduction of DHA by GSH to generate AsA, and the DHAR activity is calculated by measuring the decrease rate of DHA.
