Serum Ferri Ion Content Assay Kit
Serum Ferri Ion Content Assay Kit
Serum iron refers to the iron bound to transferrin in the blood, and this indicator is commonly used to differentiate between iron-deficiency anemia and non-iron-deficiency anemia. Sodium sulfite reduces Fe3⁺ in serum to form Fe2⁺; Fe2⁺ further reacts with 2,2’-bipyridine to produce a color, and the resulting complex has an absorption peak at 520 nm. The content of serum iron can be calculated by measuring the light absorbance value at this wavelength.
