ET fermentation medium

ET fermentation medium is a special liquid medium for detecting the ability of Escherichia coli to produce enterotoxin. Its ingredients include peptone, yeast extract powder and glucose, which provide basic nutrition for bacterial growth. The culture medium aims to optimize the growth of bacteria and induce the production of enterotoxins (including heat-resistant toxin ST and heat-resistant toxin LT) to the maximum extent by accurately controlling pH and ion concentration. The cultured supernatant can be used for subsequent enterotoxin detection tests (such as ELISA or animal experiments) and is an important pre-culture tool for identifying pathogenic Escherichia coli.
