Trypsin, tryptone and glucose yeast extract broth base (TPGYT) is a nutrient-fortified liquid medium, which is specially used for the proliferation of Clostridium botulinum and the production of neurotoxins. It increases the concentration of tryptone and yeast extract on the basis of standard TPGY, and provides more abundant nitrogen sources, vitamins, nucleotides and growth factors. This culture medium can effectively promote the growth and toxin synthesis of all kinds of Clostridium botulinum, and ensure the maximum toxin production by creating a suitable anaerobic environment. It is the key pre-enrichment culture medium for the detection and toxin extraction of Clostridium botulinum in food, environmental samples and clinical samples.
