Plant Total Phosphorus Detection Kit
Plant Total Phosphorus Detection Kit
Phosphorus exists in two forms: inorganic phosphorus and organic phosphorus. Inorganic phosphorus mainly refers to phosphate ions, which are involved in various metabolic processes in organisms, including energy metabolism, nucleic acid metabolism, protein phosphorylation, and dephosphorylation. By determining the contents of total phosphorus and inorganic phosphorus, we can understand the phosphorus utilization efficiency of crops, thereby providing a basis for rational fertilization. This kit provides a simple detection method for measuring the total phosphorus content in plant samples. The principle is as follows: plant samples are digested with sulfuric acid-hydrogen peroxide to convert phosphorus in all forms into orthophosphate. Orthophosphate then reacts with the molybdenum-antimony-ascorbic acid chromogenic reagent to form phosphomolybdenum blue. The absorbance of the blue solution is proportional to the phosphorus content, and the total phosphorus content in plants can be calculated by measuring the absorbance change with a microplate reader.
