pJOE8999 Vector 

pJOE8999 is a CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing vector for Bacillus subtilis. It drives Cas9 expression in the presence of mannose and absence of glucose, which, together with gRNA expressed by the PvanABK promoter, specifically cleaves target DNA to trigger DNA repair mechanisms for gene knockout or site-directed mutagenesis. Positive clones are selected via kanamycin resistance in the genetic transformation system, making it suitable for gene function studies and gene editing exploration in Bacillus subtilis.
