Vitamin B1 (VB1) Detection Kit
Vitamin B1 (VB1) Detection Kit
Vitamin B1 (also known as thiamine) is a key component of decarboxylase coenzymes. It participates in the catabolism of carbohydrates in the form of a coenzyme, and is involved in the tricarboxylic acid cycle (TCA cycle) in cellular metabolism. As a water-soluble vitamin essential for maintaining the normal metabolism of organisms, it plays a vital role in the energy metabolism of living beings. This kit provides a simple and easy-to-use colorimetric method for analyzing the content of Vitamin B1 in various biological samples. The principle is as follows: Under alkaline conditions, Vitamin B1 (VB1) reduces potassium ferrocyanide to form potassium ferrocyanide. Subsequently, potassium ferrocyanide reacts with Fe3⁺ under weakly acidic conditions to generate Prussian blue, which has a characteristic absorption peak at 704 nm. The content of VB1 can be determined by measuring the characteristic absorption peak of Prussian blue at 704 nm.
