pSPYCE(MR) Vector

pSPYCE(MR) is another core vector in the plant bimolecular fluorescence complementation (BiFC) system. It is used in conjunction with pSPYNE(R)173 (N-terminal vector). By expressing the C-terminal fragment (YC) of yellow fluorescent protein (YFP) fused to a target protein, it reconstructs a functional YFP fluorescence signal when the interacting protein carrying the YFP N-terminal fragment (YN) comes close, allowing direct observation of protein-protein interactions in living plant cells, making it an important tool for studying protein interactions in plants.
