Sporulation broth

Sporulation broth is a special liquid medium for inducing and enriching bacterial spores. Its basic ingredients include peptone and beef extract powder to provide basic nutrition, and the key additives are manganese salts such as manganese sulfate or manganese chloride. Manganese ions can effectively promote the transformation of vegetative cells of bacteria such as Bacillus and Clostridium into endophytic spores with strong stress resistance. By optimizing the composition and culture conditions, the culture medium aims to obtain a high proportion of synchronous spore formation, and provide necessary spore suspension for sterilization process verification, resistance research and biological indicator preparation.
