Aniline-4-Hydroxylase (AH) Activity Assay Kit
Aniline-4-Hydroxylase (AH) Activity Assay Kit
Cytochrome P450 enzymes are a group of isoenzymes mainly present in the liver, playing a crucial role in the metabolism of exogenous substances, particularly the metabolism of drugs and toxicants. In the P450 enzyme system, AH corresponds to the CYP2E1 subtype. CYP2E1 not only participates in drug metabolism but also catalyzes the activation process of various procarcinogens and protoxicants. AH catalyzes the hydroxylation of aniline to produce 4-aminophenol, which is further converted into a phenol-indole complex. This complex has a characteristic absorption peak at 630 nm, and the activity of AH is calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance at 630 nm.
