pBiFC-bFosVC155 Vector

The vector belongs to the C-terminal fusion vector of the mammalian BiFC system, and its core structure is a fusion sequence of the bos protein gene (a transcription factor subunit known to specifically bind to the bJun protein) and the C-terminal fragment of YFP (VC155, containing acids 155-238 of YFP), which is driven by the CMV constitutive promoter. In BiFC experiments, it needs to be cotfected with a complementary vector carrying the bJun protein (or other proteins that can interact with bFos) and the N-terminal fragment of YFP (VN73, etc.) into mammalian cells: if bFos interacts with the paired protein, it can mediate the reconstruction of VC155 and VN fragments active YFP, producing a green fluorescent signal, thus verifying the interaction between proteins. This vector can be used as a positive control for BiFC experiments (paired with pBiFCbJunVN173), and can also be used to study the specific interaction between bFos and other target proteins, which is suitable for the in situ of protein interaction in mammals and the analysis of interaction tissue/cell localization.
