It is a functional oligosaccharide with strong growth-promoting effects on Bifidacterium. Raffinose can provide a carbon source for yeast growth, meeting the needs of yeast growth and metabolism. It is both a yeast carbon source with high utilization efficiency does not inhibit galactose-induced protein expression, so in galactose-induced yeast protein expression experiments, in order to improve the growth rate of the strain and increase the of protein expression, raffinose is generally added to the culture medium.
