pUT18 Vector
This vector is a basic vector of the bacterial two-hybrid system (e.g., BACTH system), carrying the coding sequence of the C-terminal domain (T18 fragment) of adenylate cyclase. Its multiple cloning site is located differently from pUT18C (usually downstream of the T18 gene), allowing insertion of target genes to construct a C-terminal fusion recombinant protein expression cassette. After co-transformation with vectors carrying the T25 fragment, the interaction of fusion proteins enables T18 and T25 to reconstitute active adenylate cyclase, activating cAMP-dependent reporter gene expression to detect protein-protein interactions. It is suitable for vector construction needs of different fusion modes in prokaryotic protein interaction research.
