pKT25-zip Vector
This vector belongs to the bacterial two-hybrid system (e.g., BACTH system) recombinant vectors, carrying a fusion sequence of the T25 fragment (N-terminal domain of adenylate cyclase) and the leucine zipper (zip) protein gene. The leucine zipper can form homodimers and interact with the T18 fragment (C-terminal domain of adenylate cyclase) in the paired vector pUT18C-zip, reconstituting active adenylate cyclase. This activates the expression of cAMP-dependent reporter genes (e.g., lacZ) and produces detectable phenotypes (e.g., β-galactosidase activity). It serves as a positive control for protein interaction detection to verify system effectiveness, suitable for prokaryotic protein interaction research and optimization of experimental systems.
