pAI-Alg5 Vector

This vector is a dedicated one for the yeast split ubiquitination two-hybrid system, primarily designed as a positive control tool for detecting membrane protein interactions It harbors the sequence of the Alg5 protein fused to the N-terminal ubiquitin domain (NubI), which is expressed under the control of the yeastW12 promoter. This fusion gene can reconstitute a complete ubiquitin molecule with Cub, activating downstream reporter genes such as HIS3, ADE2, LacZ enabling yeast growth on a selective medium and corresponding colorimetric reactions. This vector is widely used for validating the effectiveness of membrane protein interaction systems, bait protein localization analysis, and of interaction signal thresholds.
