Tyrosine Ammonia-lyase (TAL) Assay Kit 

Tyrosine ammonia-lyase (TAL) is widely present in plants and microorganisms, and it is one of the key enzymes in the phenylalanine secondary metabolic pathway. TAL can bypass cinnamate-4-hydroxylase (C4H) and directly convert tyrosine into p-coumaric acid. p-Coumaric acid can be further converted into phenylpropanoid natural products with antioxidant and anti-aging effects, such as resveratrol and naringenin.

TAL can decompose tyrosine to produce p-coumaric acid, which has an absorption peak at 310 nm. The activity of TAL can be calculated based on the rate of change in absorbance.
