Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase(G6PDH) Assay Kit 

Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms, and cultured cells. It is a key enzyme in the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), catalyzing the oxidation of glucose-6-phosphate to gluconolactone-6-phosphate while reducing NADP⁺ to NADPH, which is used for biosynthesis and maintaining the intracellular reducing state. Therefore, the activity level of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase can reflect the biosynthetic and antioxidant capacities of organisms to a certain extent.

G6PDH catalyzes the reduction of NADP⁺ to generate NADPH, and the rate of NADPH increase is measured at 340 nm.
