Creatine Kinase (CK) Assay Kit
Creatine Kinase (CK) Assay Kit
Creatine kinase (CK, EC 2.7.3.2) is mainly present in tissues such as the heart, muscle, and brain. It can reversibly catalyze the phosphoryl transfer reaction between creatine and ATP, playing an important role in energy transfer, muscle contraction, and ATP regeneration. It is a key indicator for the clinical diagnosis of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. CK catalyzes the conversion of phosphocreatine and ADP into creatine and ATP. Hexokinase catalyzes the formation of glucose-6-phosphate from ATP and glucose, and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase catalyzes the conversion of glucose-6-phosphate and NADP⁺ into NADPH, resulting in an increase in light absorption at 340 nm.
