6-Phosphogluconate Ehydrogenase(6PGDH) Assay Kit 

In the pentose phosphate pathway (PPP), glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) and 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase (6PGDH) sequentially catalyze the synthesis of NADPH. This process is closely related to energy balance, growth rate, and cell viability. Additionally, 6PGDH plays an important role in stress physiology.

6PGDH catalyzes 6-phosphogluconic acid and NADP⁺ to generate NADPH. NADPH has a characteristic absorption peak at 340 nm, while NADP⁺ does not. The activity of 6PGDH is calculated by measuring the rate of absorbance increase at 340 nm.
