Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GDH) Assay Kit
Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GDH) Assay Kit
Glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH, EC 1.4.1.2) is widely distributed in plants. Together with glutamate synthase (GOGAT), it participates in the synthesis of glutamate and plays an important role in ammonia assimilation and the metabolism of converting ammonia into organic nitrogen compounds. GDH catalyzes NH₄⁺, α-ketoglutarate, and NADH to generate glutamate and NAD⁺, causing a decrease in absorbance at 340 nm. The activity of GDH is calculated by measuring the rate of absorbance decrease at 340 nm.
