Glutaminase (GLS) Assay Kit 

Glutaminase (GLS, EC 3.5.1.1) is an amidohydrolase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of asparagine into glutamic acid and ammonia. It plays an important regulatory role in nitrogen metabolism, especially in regulating the content of free ammonia and urea metabolism.

GLS catalyzes the hydrolysis of glutamine into L-glutamic acid and ammonia. The activity of GLS can be calculated by detecting the rate of ammonia increase using Nessler's reagent.
