N-Acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) Assay Kit

N-Acetyl-β-D-glucosaminidase (NAG) is an acid hydrolase in lysosomes, widely present in various tissues, body fluids, and cells. Its content is the highest in the prostate and renal proximal tubule cells. Changes in NAG activity are closely related to certain pathological states of the body.

NAG decomposes β-N-acetylglucosaminide to generate p-nitrophenol, which has a maximum absorption peak at 400 nm. The activity of NAG can be calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance.
