The plasmid pGBKT7-Lam expresses the fusion protein GAL4 DNA-BD-c-Myc-Lamin C in yeast cells. Lamin C typically does not form complexes or interact with most proteins; therefore, co-transfection of these two plasmids into yeast serves as a negative control.
