Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Assay Kit
Phosphofructokinase (PFK) Assay Kit
Phosphofructokinase (PFK, EC 2.7.1.11) is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms, and cultured cells. It is responsible for converting fructose-6-phosphate and ATP into fructose-1,6-bisphosphate and ADP, and is one of the key regulatory enzymes in the glycolytic pathway. PFK catalyzes fructose-6-phosphate and ATP to generate fructose-1,6-bisphosphate and ADP. Subsequently, pyruvate kinase and lactate dehydrogenase sequentially catalyze the oxidation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (reduced form, NADH) to nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (oxidized form, NAD⁺). The activity of PFK can be reflected by measuring the decrease rate of NADH at 340 nm.
