KF Streptococcus Broth is a liquid medium for selective enrichment of Streptococcus faecalis. Its basic ingredients include peptone and yeast extract to provide nutrition, and sodium azide, a key selective inhibitor, can effectively inhibit the growth of gram-negative bacteria and most non-target gram-positive bacteria. Glucose in the culture medium is used as fermentable carbon source and bromocresol violet is used as acid-base indicator. After the target bacteria ferment to produce acid, the culture medium changes from purple to yellow. The broth was used for constructive detection and enrichment of Streptococcus faecalis in water quality, food and other samples, providing a basis for subsequent separation and identification.
