pGBKT7-VP16 vector carrying GAL4 DNA-binding domain (BD) and VP16 activation domain fusion gene. VP16 activate the reporter gene autonomously and is often used as a positive control, and can also be used to construct BD-VP16-target protein fusions, which are for verifying the auto-activation activity of the bait protein and the quality control of the protein interaction screening system.
