pLexA-Lam Vector
pLexA-Lam is based on the pLexA backbone, carrying the LexA DNA binding domain (BD) coding sequence and the human Lamin C protein coding gene, which can stably express the "LexA BD-Lamin C" fusion protein. Since Lamin C rarely interacts non-specifically with other proteins under physiological conditions, in the yeast two-hybrid system, if this vector is co-transformed with a library vector carrying an activation domain (such as B42 AD) and activates the reporter gene (such as lacZ), it indicates the presence of false positive signals in the experiment (e.g., self-activation of the vector or non-specific binding) . Therefore, this vector is mainly used to exclude false positive results, verify the specificity of the interaction between "BD-bait protein" and "AD-target protein", and ensure the reliability of yeast two-hybrid experimental results.
