CMD/-W medium is a mixture of YNB, DO Supplement-Trp, glucose and sucrose, compared to SS/-Trp medium, the basis of sucrose as carbon source, it also adds a proper amount of glucose, and other ingredients are the same as SS/-Trp medium. The ingredients include YNBwithout amino acids), sucrose, glucose, 17 kinds of amino acids and nucleotide molecules. YNB (yeast nitrogen base) provides growth factors and in salts for yeast growth, ammonium sulfate is used as inorganic nitrogen source, and sucrose and glucose are used as fermentation carbon source. The CMD/-W Medium is a of YNB, DO Supplement-Trp, glucose and sucrose, which uses the Trp defect in DO Supplement-Trp to screen strains that can express this component or activate the relevant reporter gene.
