The CMD/-W medium is the same as the SS/-Trp medium in composition except that it adds a proper amount of glucose on the basis ofrose as carbon source. The components include YNB (without amino acids), sucrose, glucose, 17 kinds of amino acids and nucleotide molecules. YNByeast nitrogen base) provides growth factors and inorganic salts for yeast growth, and ammonium sulfate is used as inorganic nitrogen source, and sucrose and glucose are used fermentation carbon source. CMD/-W With Agar is a mixture of YNB, DO Supplement-Trp, glucose, sucrose and agar powder, which uses thep defect in DO Supplement-Trp to screen strains that can express this component or to activate relevant reporter genes.
