pSoup Vector

pSoup is constructed with the RK2 replicon as the core element, and does not carry the T-DNA region related to plant cell transformation itself. Its main function is to provide the auxiliary factors required for replication for the pGreen series vectors (which rely on the RepA protein provided by pSoup). When co-transformed into Agrobacterium with the pGreen series plant expression vectors, it can support the efficient replication and stable existence of the pGreen vectors in Agrobacterium, thereby ensuring the smooth progress of Agrobacterium-mediated plant transformation experiments, and is widely used in plant gene function research and genetic transformation systems.
