YNB-CAA Medium with Agar (containing Galactose)

YNB-CAA is a semisynthetic medium suitable for EBY100 yeast strain, YNB provides nitrogen source, vitamins, trace elements; glucose or galactose provides carbon source; Casamino acids (casein hydrolysate) provides various essential amino acids and nucleotides except adenine, uil, tryptophan and partial vitamins, trace elements. When the formulated YNB-CAA is with glucose as carbon source, it can be used for the screening and culture of EBY100 containing pYD1 plasmid; and when the formulated YNB-CAA is with galactose as carbon source, it can be for the induction of the expression of target protein.
