Filtration membrane enterococcus agar
Filtration membrane enterococcus agar
Filter Enterococcus agar is a selective medium for detecting Enterococcus in water based on membrane filtration. Its basic components include peptone and yeast extract powder, and the key inhibitor sodium azide can effectively inhibit gram-negative bacteria and non-target gram-positive bacteria. The culture medium contains TTC indicator, and enterococcus reduces TTC to form red or pink colonies. The agar is specially used for colony growth on the membrane after water samples are filtered, and enterococci can be quickly counted by typical red colonies, which is one of the standard methods for microbiological detection of drinking water and environmental water quality.
