p112A1NE is a yeast expression vector, primarily used for gene functional complementation analysis and cDNA expression library construction. It contains the yeast alcohol dehydrogenase (ADH1) promoter, which can drive constitutive expression of exogenous genes, making it suitable for functional complementation experiments in yeast mutants.This vector is commonly used in the study of transporter protein functions. For example, genes encoding phosphate transporters from Arabidopsis or hexose transporters from fungi can be cloned into the vector and then transformed into corresponding nutrient-deficient yeast mutants (such as phosphate uptake-deficient MB192 or hexose transport-deficient EBY.VW4000). The function of the target gene can be verified by observing the growth restoration of the mutant.
