It is designed for the functional screening and verification of iron transporters based on the yeast heterologous complementation principle. The △fet3et4 yeast strain with iron uptake defect, the expression vector and the iron-deficient/iron-rich medium are included. The △fet3fet4 is limited in growth in iron-deficient environment due to the deletion of endogenous iron transport-related genes. After the target iron transport gene is transformed into the strain, the protein can mediate iron uptake, allowing the strain to grow normally under iron-deficient medium, excluding the interference of other metal ions. It is suitable for the primary screening functional verification of iron transport proteins and the study of iron metabolism regulation.
