An activity assay kit designed for yeast sodium metabolism and transporter function research, based on the principle of yeast heterologous complementation. It includes special sodium-deficient yeast strains, expression vectors and supporting reagents. The sodium-deficient strain has inhibited growth in high-sodium environment due to lack of endogenous transporters. After transforming the target transporter gene into the strain, active proteins can complement the defective phenotype, intuitively reflecting transport capacity and eliminating interference from other cations. It is suitable for transporter function verification, sodium metabolism gene screening and regulatory mechanism research.
