SF/-Ura with Agar

Compared to the SD-class medium, the SF/-Ura medium is made by replacing glucose with fructose, and except for the difference carbon source, other components are the same as the SD-class medium. The SF/-Ura solid medium is made by adding agar powder to the SF/-Ura medium and its components include YNB (containing ammonium sulfate and without amino acids), fructose, agar powder, and 17 kinds of amino acids and nucleide molecules. YNB (yeast nitrogen base) provides growth factors and inorganic salts for yeast growth, ammonium sulfate is used as an inorganic nitrogen source, andructose is used as a fermentation carbon source. SF/-Ura with Agar is a mixture of YNB, DO Supplement-Ura, fructose, and agar powder, which uses the Ura defect in DO Supplement-Ura to screen strains that can express this component or to activate related reporter genes.
