BMGH Medium (for Pichia pastoris)

It is a buffered minimal glycerol medium containing histidine, with core components including yeast nitrogen base (YNB), biotin, potassium phosphate buffer (pH 6.0), glycerol and histidine. The buffer system stabilizes the pH of the culture environment, glycerol provides carbon source and energy without acid production during fermentation, and histidine meets the needs of specific auxotrophic strains. Compatible with expression vectors containing the AOX1 promoter, it is specially used for cell expansion in the scale-up stage of protein expression, accumulating sufficient cells for high-density culture and subsequent induced expression.
